Reps needed for Adur and Worthing

We want to ensure that the voluntary and community sector is represented in local decision-making in Adur and Worthing.

Reps Council in Adur and Worthing

To achieve this we’re establishing a reps council in Adur and Worthing. We’re seeking around 15 people to take up representative roles and join the new reps council.

We’ll initially co-opt a team of reps who’ll be the reps council and act as representatives for the voluntary and community sector in Adur and Worthing. They’ll be supported and gain their mandate by connecting to voluntary and community organisations across the area via our, soon to be launched, thematic networks.

During 2017 we’ll look to organise an election for future reps. This will help to ensure that our reps have a clear mandate to represent our Adur and Worthing members.

The role of a rep

The rep’s role is a voluntary one, although if a rep is from a small group with an income of £35,000 or under a fee is paid to the small group in acknowledgement of the reps’ time spent on their representation activities.

If you’re interested in becoming a rep, and working with other reps to be the voice of the voluntary and community sector in Adur and Worthing, please read our representation policy and complete and return a nomination form below:
