Council Spending Plans for 2019/20

Our CW Position Statement – BHCC Budget Proposals 2019-20 responds to the proposals put forward on 14 February 2019 by Brighton and Hove City Council and which, if passed, will then go to the full Budget Council meeting on 28 February 2019.

The full budget proposals can be found on the Policy, Resources and Growth Committee page of the BHCC website and there have been some changes since the first proposals were circulated in November 2018.

We recognise that there has been a significant effort to preserve the funding to the voluntary and community sector in Brighton and Hove and that whilst there are still some proposed reductions in the Budget papers we also face the possibility of a more challenging funding environment on 2020/21.

If you work in the public sector we can support you to collaborate and work in partnership with voluntary and community organisations in Brighton, Hove, Adur and Worthing. To find out more get in touch with our CEO, Jess Sumner, on ceo@bhcommunityworks.org.uk or 01273 234032.
